Yes, fostering diversity, inclusion and belonging of everyone is right thing to do, but very importantly, there is compelling business rationale for all organizations to strategically address diversity and inclusion. Many studies over the past decades have shown that companies that “get diversity” are more successful and profitable, and those non-profits and governmental agencies that “get diversity” have a much higher stakeholder satisfaction.

This session will cover:

  •  Introducing the National Diversity Council – training and resources
  •  An introduction to diversity terms and theories
  •  The importance of diversity to any organization – the compelling business case, qualitative and quantitative
  •  The many dimensions of diversity and today’s hot diversity topics (race, gender, generational, Veterans, LGBTQ, etc.)
  •  An introduction to tactics to operationalize and execute diversity and inclusion programs
  •  The do’s and don’ts of interacting with people different than you
  •  Qs and As at the end
